Psi Alpha Omega Travel and Research Awards. It is time to apply for the Psi Alpha Omega Travel Awards. To apply for the awards, you must be a current student member in Psi Alpha Omega and be currently enrolled in a college or university. To apply for one of the Psi Alpha Omega Travel Awards click on the “Membership” tab and scroll down to Benefits Application. Click on “Travel Awards 2009” and you will be directed to the “Travel Award Application.”

Jeffery Scott Mio, Ph.D. has recently announced that he is donating the proceeds from his book Multicultural Psychology: Understanding our Diverse Communities to help fund travel and research awards for PAO’s student members. Jeff is a Charter Member of Psi Alpha Omega, a continuous mentor at APA for the Links and Shoulders Program at the annual American Psychological Association Convention, a Sponsor to several PAO student members, and a PAO Mentor on the topic of “Presenting Yourself in an Academic Job Interview.” It is obvious that Dr. Mio has students close to his heart and PAO greatly appreciates his kind donation. He epitomizes the goals of PAO. Dr. Mio is a Full Professor in the Psychology and Sociology Department at the California State Polytechnic University in Pomona, California.
